House sparrows are one of the most common birds in Jerusalem but their simple beauty and grace is a reminder of God’s care for us and for all creation. As Jesus said: “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.” (Matthew 10:29) This lovely original painting is based on an actual photograph of a sparrow at the Garden Tomb.
